# Acme Cloud Notes — Product Handbook

## Accounts and Sign-In

Every Acme Cloud Notes user has a single account identified by an email address. You can create an account for free from the sign-up page; no credit card is required for the Starter plan. If you forget your password, open the sign-in page and click "Forgot password" — we will email you a secure, single-use link that lets you choose a new password. For added security, you can enable two-factor authentication from Account Settings, which asks for a one-time code from your phone each time you sign in on a new device. We never store your password in plain text, and support staff can never see it.

## Plans and Billing

Acme Cloud Notes offers three plans. The Starter plan is free forever and includes up to 100 notes and 1 GB of storage. The Pro plan costs 8 dollars per month and raises those limits to unlimited notes and 50 GB of storage, and it adds version history. The Team plan costs 12 dollars per user per month and adds shared workspaces, admin controls, and priority support. Billing is monthly by default, but annual billing is available at a 20 percent discount. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the Billing page; if you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and is not auto-renewed.

## Syncing and Offline Access

Notes sync automatically across all your devices within a few seconds of any change, as long as you are online. The desktop and mobile apps also keep a full local copy, so you can read and edit your notes offline; any edits you make offline are merged the next time the device reconnects. If the same note was changed on two devices while one was offline, Acme Cloud Notes keeps both versions and marks the note as conflicted so you can choose which to keep. Sync is end-to-end encrypted on the Pro and Team plans.

## Sharing and Collaboration

You can share any single note with another person by entering their email address and choosing a permission level: "can view" or "can edit." On the Team plan you can also create shared workspaces where every member sees the same set of notes automatically. Shared notes update live, so collaborators see each other's edits as they happen, and an activity log records who changed what and when. To stop sharing, open the note's share panel and remove the person; they immediately lose access.

## Exporting and Importing

You can export a single note, a folder, or your entire account at any time. Exports are available in Markdown, PDF, and plain-text formats, and a full-account export is delivered as a single ZIP file you can download. Importing works from Markdown and plain-text files, as well as from a previous Acme Cloud Notes export. There is no limit on how often you export, and exporting does not delete anything from your account.

## Data, Privacy, and Deletion

Your notes belong to you. Acme Cloud Notes does not read your notes or sell your data, and we do not use the contents of your notes to train any models. When you delete a note it goes to Trash, where it remains recoverable for 30 days before it is permanently removed. If you delete your entire account, all of your data is permanently erased within 30 days, and any active subscription is cancelled. You can request a copy of all data we hold about you from the Privacy section of Account Settings.

## Support

Starter and Pro users can reach support by email at help@acme.example.com, with a typical response time of one business day. Team users get priority support with a target response time of two hours during business hours. There is also a searchable help center and an in-app chat assistant available on every plan. If you are reporting a bug, including your account email and the steps to reproduce the problem helps us resolve it faster.
